Millbrook High School has named Priscilla Elliott the new head coach of its swim team. Elliott, who is beginning her first year teaching math at Millbrook, succeeds Will Sigler. Sigler resigned as Millbrook swim coach due to work obligations. He was named the school’s head swim team coach in 2012 after serving the previous six years as an assistant coach.

Although Elliott is new to Frederick County Public Schools, she possesses a great deal of coaching experience. From 2011-2014, she served as the head coach of the varsity swim team at the Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since 2014, she has served as the head coach of the varsity swim team at Spring Mills High School in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Millbrook Coordinator of Student Activities Scott Mankins says, “I’m very pleased to have Coach Elliott joining the Millbrook High School team as both a teacher and the head coach of our swim team. She has been a successful coach for many years and has a clear vision for how she wants to build the swim program here at Millbrook.”

Elliott says, “I’m looking forward to transitioning to Millbrook as both a teacher and the coach of the swim team. I’m very excited about the opportunity to continue my teaching career at Millbrook, further develop the school’s swim program and build relationships within the school community.”
