The Chesapeake Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (CHESPRA) has presented Frederick County Public Schools with seven awards as part of its annual school communications contest. The CHESPRA awards competition is highly competitive and includes school divisions from throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Frederick County Public Schools Coordinator of Policy and Communications Steve Edwards says, “It’s a great honor to have our school division recognized with numerous CHESPRA School Communications Awards again this year. We utilize a variety of tools in an effort to communicate and raise awareness about the school division’s successes and challenges with various constituent groups. Being recognized with seven CHESPRA awards this year is a testament to all of those involved in the award-winning projects and their commitment to promoting open, two-way communications between the school division and our community.”
